Pelea de Gallos (Cockfight)

Pelea de Gallos Republica Dominicana

Cockfighting – Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

Cockfighting was once considered to be an accepted traditional sporting event in the United States. It was made illegal after animal rights activists exposed the physical trauma that these fights bring upon the fighting birds.

In Latin American countries such as the Dominican Republic, this blood sport is still prevalent and it is considered not only a conventional from of entertainment, but also a game that represents culture and tradition.

If you would like to know more about the event and the Great City of Opalocka visit their website at www.opalockafl.gov.
